Gina Ianni is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to New York City in 2004 to continue her dance studies at Marymount Manhattan College. While at Marymount, she performed works by Pat Catterson, Denise Vale, Geoffry Doig-Marx, and Jennifer Muller, among others. Gina graduated cum laude in May 2008, and was awarded the highest honor from the MMC Dance Department, a Gold Key, for demonstrating excellence in her field. Since graduation, Gina has been very fortunate to work in both the commercial and concert worlds of dance, working with or assisting choreographers such as Sheryl Murakami, Ray Leeper, Laurie Ann Gibson, Serena Soffer, Angel Feliciano, and Salim Gauwloos. Gina has performed in the 2004 Elan Awards, 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival, and live on BET's 106 & Park. Currently, she is a member of the New York City-based company TAKE Dance, under the direction of Takehiro Ueyama, where she performs in various venues throughout the year.
