
Monica Lessard is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher and performer originally from Amherst, New Hampshire. In 2007 she received a B.A. in dance from Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts (Pittsburgh, PA) where she did a double concentration in ballet and jazz. While studying in Pittsburgh she was an avid performer with the Conservatory's Playhouse Dance Company. Her favorite role in college was as the evil step-sister, Prunella, in an original contemporary ballet version of Cinderella by Doug Bentz.
After graduation she instantly found jobs teaching in the the New Hampshire and Massachusetts areas. She was a competition choreographer for Paula Meola's Dance and Performing Arts in Sterling, MA and received various local and national awards for her work. Monica moved to New York City in August of 2009 and has continued to train, perform, choreograph and teach throughout the city and the Long Island area.
